Free Official SAT Practice

Until recently, SAT practice opportunities involved a cost. It was necessary to pay to get Official SAT Practice. But now, there is an excellent way to get that practice FREE!

The SAT ( Scholastic Assessment Test) is the internationally recognized measure of reading, writing and math levels of junior and senior high school students. Most colleges and universities offering undergraduate programs in the U.S. and some in Canada use SAT results as part of their admission requirements.

SAT scores required to enter college or university vary from the low 600’s to a perfect score of 800. However, schools generally have holistic admissions, meaning that SAT scores are just one part of the application. These schools look at more than just test scores when making an admissions decision. Perfect scores do not guarantee admission if other parts of an application are weak. Schools like to see well-rounded applications, and are not solely focused on an applicant’s SAT scores.

That being said, there is still plenty of reason to prepare well for the SAT and aiming to obtain the highest score possible.

Students can now get ready with a free, personalized study tool created by Khan Academy and the College Board, the maker of the SAT.

Research shows students who prepare for the SAT using Official SAT Practice see substantial improvement in their scores. Twenty hours of practice is associated with an average 115-point increase from the PSAT/NMSQT to the SAT, nearly double the average gain compared to students who don’t use Official SAT Practice.

The data also show we’re making promising progress toward creating a more level playing field for students. Score gains persist across various genders, races, ethnicities, and parental education levels.
